About Chapman University Conservatory of Music:

The Bachelor of Music degree with a major in Vocal Performance is an intensive performance degree which focuses on classical training for opera. The Conservatory of Music has ten accomplished voice teachers and three coach/accompanists that are performers in their own right. They bring the knowledge and insight of performing to their students. Voice majors take a one-hour private voice lesson plus a one-hour master class within their voice studio weekly. Upper division majors also work one-hour a week with a coach/accompanist. In addition to solo recitals, the Conservatory of Music also presents operas or opera scenes each semester. As an undergraduate program, our students have the opportunity to perform lead roles in many productions. Chapman graduates matriculate easily into prestigious graduate schools and apprentice programs. Many graduates are singing in major opera houses world-wide and many have become outstanding teachers throughout the United States.
