First Round Regional Date:  Saturday, December 1, 2007

Scholarship Opportunity:  

Lawrence University will offer a $12,000 scholarship to a National Winner as long as that student meets the admissions criteria of Lawrence University.

Competition Schedule and Information:  

Registration: 9:00 a.m.
Stansbury Lobby – Music/Drama Center (Click HERE for directions)
A continental breakfast will be provided for all participants.

Competition: 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Harper Hall - Music/Drama Center

The following faculty members will be adjudicating the Competition:

Practice Rooms: Located in the lower level of the Music/Drama Center.

Accompanist: Those singers not bringing their own collaborators will be accompanied by Lawrence Conservatory vocal coach/collaborative pianists Tad Hardin, Faculty Fellow in Music, and Brian DeMaris, Lecturer in Music.
Please email your repertoire list to Kenneth Bozeman by November 15.

About Lawrence University:

The Lawrence University Conservatory of Music, now in its second century of educating students for careers in music, is a nationally recognized conservatory devoted exclusively to the education of undergraduates within a distinguished college of the liberal arts and sciences. A superb faculty of performers, composers, scholars, and teachers prides itself on the individual attention given to more than 350 music majors who pursue their undergraduate degrees at Lawrence. Its voice department serves over 90 majors.

Any student applying and auditioning for Lawrence University and the Conservatory of music will be allowed to use the Classical Singer Competition audition as their admissions audition for Lawrence.  These students will have their Classical Singer audition recorded on DVD and also be required to complete the Musical Skills Test for Voice Candidates while on campus.
