Registration opens at 10:00 a.m.
Competition runs from 10:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Competition Location:  
MacDonald Theatre at the Thornton School of Music, University Park Campus

Specific directions from the corner of Jefferson St. and Hoover St: Walk across the parking lot. The USC Church will be in front on your left. Cross inner street. The Thornton School of Music is directly ahead. You will see signs and volunteer students to direct you to practice areas and audition site.

Vocal Arts and Opera

A long tradition of excellence in vocal and operatic training has brought the USC Thornton vocal arts department international recognition. It consistently produces winners of prestigious competitions, and future members of opera companies. The curriculum emphasizes the development of secure vocal technique and artistry, and provides opportunities through recitals, workshops, master classes and opera productions. Voice Faculty include: Gary Glaze, Elizabeth Hynes, Chair; Peter Lightfoot, Cynthia Munzer, Shigemi Matsumoto and Janice McVeigh. Ken Cazan, director and Brent McMunn, conductor head the opera program.
