The First Round runs from November 1, 2008 through March 15, 2009, and will be held at universities throughout the nation (see locations below). The top three winners, plus other selected finalists, advance to the Second Round (singers are responsible for their own travel and hotel costs).
The Second Round will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2009 from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. at the Westin O'Hare in Chicago. Approximately 30 singers will advance from the Second Round to the Semifinal Round.
The Semifinal Round and the Final Round Concert will be held at the same location on Sunday, May 31.
More than $5,000 of Cash prizes, will be awarded to the winners.
The $75 registration fee includes all rounds of the Competition, the College Expo, and a free subscription to Classical Singer magazine.
Upon registration you will receive an email confirmation and a welcome letter in the mail with your competition time. Please contact Becky Stoddard if you do not receive your time within three weeks of registering.
