First Round Regional Date:  Saturday, January 23, 2010

Scholarship Opportunity:  
A $10,000 scholarship (renewable based on Conservatory academic criteria)

Competition Schedule:
10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Registration and Rehearsal Time – Lobby of 8 The Fenway
11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Competition – The Concert Room, 8 The Fenway

1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m Information Session with Chair of Voice & Opera, Patty Thom
2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Competition – The Concert Room, 8 The Fenway
4:00 p.m. Announcement of First Round Regional Winners

Competition Location:  
The Concert Room in 8 The Fenway.
Registration in the lobby.
Competition rooms are Concert Room and Seully Hall.
Practice rooms will be available to competition participants on the 5th and 6th floors of 8 the Fenway throughout the day.

Judges:
Boston Conservatory Voice and Opera Faculty William Cotten, Rebecca Folsom, Sara Goldstein, Victor Jannett, Monique Phinney and Patty Thom.

Campus Tours:  
Campus tours will be given to competition participants and their parents by student representatives from the Boston Conservatory admission office at various scheduled times throughout the day. These will be arranged at registration and check in.

Information Session:
Competition participants and their parents are invited to an informational session with Chair of Voice & Opera, Patty Thom at 1:00 PM. Ms. Thom will answer questions about The Boston Conservatory as well as about the conservatory application process and auditioning, financial aid, and any other issues which concern students and their families as they embark on this next stage of the singer’s musical education.
