Scholarship Opportunity:  
Two $5000 Musical Excellence Awards for In-coming Freshmen

"The Department of Music of the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University is pleased to offer a $5000 Musical Excellence scholarship, renewable annually, to each of two winners of the High School competition round who choose to attend C.W. Post. Eligibility for the awards will be determined by ranking in the competition. These students will study with C.W. Post Director of Vocal Studies Ruth Golden or another member of our distinguished faculty. (Candidates should note that the student must apply to and be accepted by the university in order to receive the award, and must fulfill the terms of the Department of Music Scholarship Contract in order for the award to be renewed.) To help these students prepare for the next round of the Classical Singer competition, each may receive a free voice lesson from Professor Golden, and a free vocal coaching with C.W. Post faculty member Mark Shapiro, to be scheduled at the mutual convenience of all parties."
