Scholarship Opportunity:
The regional winner will be offered a scholarship of $15,000 (renewable based on conservatory academic and artistic criteria) for four years to study at the San Francisco Conservatory. To receive the award, the winner must be accepted to SFCM. The second-place winner is eligible for a $10,000 scholarship and the third-place winner is eligible for a $5,000 scholarship.
First Round Prizes:
• First-place winner will receive a free 1-hour voice lesson with SFCM faculty + 2 tickets to an opera production at SFCM
• Second-fourth place winners will receive 2 tickets to an opera production at SFCM
Competition Schedule: Registration: Begins at 9:30 a.m.
Competition: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Conservatory Information Session: 12 Noon
Awards Ceremony: 4:00 p.m.

Solo cantatas of G.F. Handel featuring voice students of the Baroque Ensemble
Master class with guest artist Thomas Hampson (2008) and student productions of W.A. Mozart’s The Magic Flute and B. Briitten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
About San Francisco Conservatory of Music:
The San Francisco Conservatory of Music’s Voice Department consists of approximately 110 undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate students, eight private voice teachers, ten individually assigned coach-accompanists, and specialists in diction, pedagogy and physiology. Students experience extensive and varied performance opportunities at the Conservatory and are able to draw on the proximity to the San Francisco Opera House and Davies Symphony Hall. Each year, many internationally acclaimed artists visit the Conservatory to offer master classes and invaluable information in regard to performing and starting a career.
