First Round Regional Date:  
Saturday, January 23, 2010

Scholarships and Prizes:  
The Brenau University International Opera Center
The Opera Certificate program is a year-long course of 12 credits, at the post-baccalaureate level. The program includes coaching in opera repertoire and role preparation, language study, applied voice, movement/theatre/dance electives, and performance opportunities.

First Place Winner at the First Round Competition:
Two coachings with Maestro William Fred Scott and two private voice lessons with Dr. Barbara Steinhaus to add to the candidate’s preparation for the next round.

Competition Schedule:  
Registration: Begins at 9 a.m.
Competition: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Brenau University Information Session: 12 Noon
Awards Ceremony: 4 p.m.

Check in at least one hour prior to your competition time.

Competition Location:  
Brenau University
The Burd Center for the Performing Arts
429 Academy St.,
Gainesville, Ga.

The competition will take place in Hosch Theater. Warm-up rooms are located on the third floor in the music wing.
