Peggy Lee Brown is a gifted singer with a repertoire that spans the musical styles of Broadway, classical, jazz, R&B, and spiritual. Starting with Mozart, segueing into Gershwin, and ending with H.T. Burleigh, her concerts are musical experiences that bring audiences to their feet in standing ovations.

Ms. Brown made her debut at the renowned Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in May 2000 with great success. “The highlight of these works was Rossini’s ‘Una voce poco fà’ from The Barber of Seville. Ms. Brown navigated this challenging terrain admirably, executing impressive leaps, often to the upper end of her range. These high notes, which one could easily mar with inaccurate pitch or harsh timbral qualities, bloomed beautifully from Ms. Brown’s mouth. Moreover, she not only sang impressively, but also exhibited an endearing coquettish persona as she did so. By the end of this piece, Ms. Brown and Ms. Cheadle had completely won over the audience.” New York Concert Review

Ms. Brown has performed as soloist in Bach Cantata 71 Gott is mein König, Bach Cantata 140 Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme, Bruckner's Psalm 150, Handel's Messiah, and Saint Saëns Christmas Oratorio.

Ms. Brown’s opera performance roles include Die Königin, Die Zauberflöte, Donna Anna, Don Giovanni, and Dew Fairy, Hansel and Gretel with The Princeton Opera. She sang Belinda’s role in Dido and Aeneas with the Meetinghouse Strings Chamber Orchestra and Chorus. Other performances include Lucia, Lucia di Lammermoor, Luisa, Luisa Miller, and Violetta, La Traviata with Opera International.
