Bel Sonore Chamber Ensemble
Bel Sonore Chamber Ensemble was formed by Thomas Bulgrin in New York City and is now based in Chicago. The ensemble performs a repertoire ranging from classical music to jazz standards. The group has performed at countless weddings, receptions, parties and other social, civic and corporate functions, as well as recitals at such venues in New York as CAMI Hall and the Brooklyn Museum. In Chicago, the group has performed in the Prairie Crossing Concert Series and 4th Presbyterian's Friday Noon Series. Bel Sonore has also performed for the Lyric Opera Guild, Harold Washington, Northbrook, Conrad Sultzer, Skokie and Schaumberg libraries.
Madelene Campos (flute) holds degrees from the University of Illinois and Roosevelt University. She performs regularly with the Lyric Opera of Chicago (acting 2nd flute for 2008-9 season), Milwaukee Symphony, Concertate di Chicago, American Ballet Theatre and other Chicago area groups.
Crystal Hall (oboe)is a graduate of Oberlin Conservatory and the University of Texas. She performs with a number of groups including the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, the Illinois Symphony (acting principal oboe for the 2008-9 season)and the Tutti Chamber Orchestra.
Thomas Bulgrin (bassoon)has a B.M. from the University of Wyoming and an M.A. from the Brooklyn College conservatory of the City University of New York. Mr. Bulgrin plays the clarinets, flutes and saxophones in addition to the bassoon. He has performed in New York with such groups ranging from the Brooklyn Philharmonic to Broadway pit orchestras, and in Chicago with numerous area symphonies, the Chicago Jazz Ensemble and the Chicago Jazz Philharmonic, to name just a few groups.
