Private lessons are at the heart of each individual’s musical training. Individual lessons are available for any age or skill level. Students range in age from 5 years of age to over 65 years. One of the greatest and most enduring gifts parents can offer their children is exposure to the joys and creative expression of music. Many adults also are rediscovering their love of music and finding a new creative outlet.
Weekly private lessons can be arranged at any time during the year. Substantial discounts are offered for parents/students who commit to 10 lessons over a 12-week period. Hourly rates will be quoted on an individual basis depending on lesson length. Lessons are offered in various lengths (NOTE: The discounted prices below are based on a 12-week commitment):
30 minutes each week - $25.00
45 minutes each week - $37.50
60 minutes each week - $50.00
75 minutes each week - $62.50
All lessons are paid for in advance, either prior to the scheduled 12-week period or by the month (prior to the first lesson). Parents/Students are encouraged to pay for hourly lessons promptly at the first of each month.
MAKE-UP LESSONS (IMPORTANT): Payment for missed lessons will not be reimbursed under any circumstances.
• Make-up lessons will ALWAYS be given in the event the Teacher must miss a lesson. A make-up session will be arranged by Miss Bush with the Parent/Student at their mutual convenience.
• Make-up lessons will be given at the Teacher's discretion for medical and/or family emergency, but only if 24 hour notice is provided by a personal phone call to Miss Bush on her mobile phone (to be provided).
• Parents/Students who have committed to paying for 10 lessons in advance are allowed 2 missed lessons for any reason within the 12-week period. A 24-hour courtesy notice to Miss Bush on her mobile phone is expected.
Parents/Students who have committed to a 12-week session will receive the following for their lesson fees:
• An orientation session to discuss individual goals.
• Weekly lessons tailored to meet each student’s needs and ability.
• Regular evaluation of student development.
• Performance opportunities in the community.
• Preparation for school, scholarship, or All-State auditions.
• Coordination and help with the Honors Program.
• Preparation for Juries.
BEFORE YOU REGISTER FOR PRIVATE LESSONS WITH JULINGTON MUSIC STUDIO (PLEASE READ):
You will be enrolling for a 12-week Semester (consisting of 10 lessons). If your child is sick or you must miss a lesson for any other reason, we do offer the opportunity for a make-up lesson. However, we cannot guarantee an available space on the day or time of your choice, since other lessons may be given during that time. It is your responsibility to schedule and attend your make-up lesson within the same 12-week session. You may choose to attend on another day/time, availability permitting. Julington Music Studio will make every attempt to accommodate your needs; however, we do not give refunds or credits for classes missed that you are unable to make-up during that 12-week session. There will be no lessons offered during the weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas and Spring Break (as we observe official Holidays in the St. Johns County School District, Clay County School District and Duval County School District). By enrolling for lessons you are agreeing that the fee paid is non-refundable as you are committing to a limited space for private lessons. You are also authorizing Julington Music Studio to utilize any pictures taken during lessons of you or your child for promotional purposes. You also agree to assume any risks involved with your child participating in these lessons and, by continuing with this enrollment, hereby release Julington Music Studio, it's owners and employees, jointly and separately, from any and all personal injury claims arising from participation in lessons as a student of Julington Music Studio or upon the premises of where we teach (usually your home).
