Dramatic Soprano
Rebecca Broberg's emotional intensity and commitment to the text in operatic and recital performance, on CD and DVD, fascinate critics and audiences alike. Particularly of interest are the recordings of Siegfried Wagner's operas and songs, and of the songs of Ludwig Thuille. Her recordings of songs by Erich J. Wolff and Alexander Zemlinsky were released in September by the label Thorophon (CTH 2562/1-2). The complete songs of Siegfried Wagner were recently released as a physical CD by Marco Polo in February, 2010 (MP8.225349).
In preparation are recordings of selected songs by Anton Urspruch, Ludwig Thuille and Erich J. Wolff.
On Saturday, August 14th, Rebecca and Prof. Ulrich Urban will perform songs by Mendelssohn, Schubert, Urspruch, Wolff and Thuille at Schloss Moritzburg in Zeitz.
