She has won many awards as an actress for her wide range of musical and theatrical talent in portrayals that are often described as a highlight of a production. She has been praised for her ability to deliver “deeply moving, heartfelt” performances, as well as delivering her own special brand of slapstick and an “impish comedic presence.” Ms. Barber received training in ballet and piano in the National Capital Region of Canada, and began a career as an actress while studying Business and French at the University of Western Ontario in London. She began vocal studies there and completed her Bachelor of Music degree at the University of British Columbia.
