On this site, you will discover much about my background, but little that may account for the very wide repertoire of musical examples on the Sound Clips page. The fact is that throughout my career, I have usually been able to choose the repertoire I wanted to perform. What you will be listening to on this page is music that means a lot to me. You will quickly discover my passion for music theatre in all its forms -- opera, operetta and the musical -- and my love for art-song. Every one of the Sound Clips is taken from a "live" performance. Some are comparatively recent; some date back over thirty years. I am grateful for their immediacy; but who would not sometimes wish for better sound quality?

In November of last year, I was in New York City as Musical Director of FROM KURT TO COLE starring Midge Woolsey at the Neue Galerie (Cafe Sabarsky).
On June 6th, 2009, I taught a Master Class at the Voice Foundation's ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM in Philadelphia.
