Testimonials

...We have in front of us one singer with the biggest possible technique, and beautiful interpretation. One wonderful presence with the rare gift of communication …one artist, excellently prepared, ready for big success…” (music critic Francisco Vidal , ” Notas de arte,” Brasil)

“Mariana Mihai had an uncommonly beautiful presence on the stage and an excellent control of voice with a sensitive interpretation and wonderful legato in the entire performance. An inborn instinct for emotional coloring, a sense of coming from inside the poetry and the music rather than approaching it from outside…the human vulnerability that radiates from Mariana Mihai`s work is touching and magnetic…”

New CD Project for Spring 2012

Since I was a little girl growing up in Romania I have adored Christmas. Now, I will join my deep love for Christmas with my love and passion for singing in recording a new CD which will be entitled VISIONS OF THE SEASONS. I will take advantage of having lived in Romania, Brazil, and the US and draw upon the inspiration of these cultures in recording this CD of Christmas music. Having sung annual Christmas recitals I have seen how inspired and moved my audiences have been by my performances. As a result, I know this CD will have great and wide-ranging appeal to a wide variety of audience members. The varied and most likely unfamiliar repertoire presented will offer a snapshot of the season, creating a heartfelt bridge between various cultures. Composers will include Nin, Head, Ives, Rutter, Averitt, Vaughan-Williams, Gounod, Toldra, Cornelius, Rosato, and others.
My plan is to start recording this album in the spring and to have the CD finished by May of 2012.
For more info about this project and to find out how you can be part of this CD please go to kickstarter.com and search for Visions of the Season, or just click on the blue link under the video! Thanks!
Check back for updates about this project! Thank you!
