Praised by Opera News Online for her “bright, pretty timbre and remarkable facility,” soprano Danielle Munsell Howard is a versatile performer.

In repertoire ranging from Bach to Stravinsky, groups she has performed with include the American Bach Soloists, Amherst Early Music Festival, Boulder Bach Festival, the Yale Collegium Soloists, Princeton Pro Musica, and a number of contemporary choral and chamber ensembles.

In January 2005, her New York debut as Prince Meleagro in La Corona at Merkin Hall with the Queen's Chamber Band was enthusiastically received by the full house audience and critically acclaimed in the New York Times.

In addition to singing traditional roles including Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi) and Miss Pinkerton (The Old Maid and the Thief), she created the role of Mary Todd Lincoln/Caroline in Alabama Serenade, a new opera by Darrell Hunt.

Internationally, Ms. Munsell Howard has sung in concerts and masterclasses in Germany, Austria, France, Mexico and the Netherlands. The concerts in Mexico were broadcast throughout the country on national radio and television.

Her recordings include the world premiere of Gluck’s Il Parnaso Confuso and a complete recording of his La Corona, both on the Albany Records label.

Ms. Munsell Howard has been a recitalist in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Ohio and Washington State. She teaches vocal masterclasses at universities and high schools and maintains a private studio in Connecticut.
