Katherine Cardin
Soprano

Katherine Cardin, soprano, has quickly established a reputation throughout the Southeast as an upcoming artist to watch. Although just under 5' tall, Ms. Cardin commands the stage with a captivating presence and a voice capable of producing a rich, full lyric sound.

With continuing success, this artist has been chosen to participate in numerous programs, including Syracuse Opera's Resident Artist Program, Pine Mountain Music Festival, the American Institute of Music Studies in Graz, Austria, and most recently, the OperaWorks' Advanced Artist Program.

Ms. Cardin has performed roles including Despina (Cosi fan tutte), Anne (A Little Night Music), Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi), Flora (The Turn of the Screw), and Amelia (Amelia Goes to the Ball), as well as adaptations of Mimi (La Boheme) and Violetta (La Traviata). In concert, she was highly praised for her performance of Samuel Barber's "Knoxville: Summer of 1915" with the Pine Mountain Symphony.

Katherine received her Bachelor of Music degree from Vanderbilt University and her Master of Music degree from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, where she toured with Knoxville Opera's Opera 101 educational outreach program. She currently resides in New York City.
