Margaurite Mathis-Clark is currently in her 3rd season with the Los Angeles Master Chorale under the direction of Maestro Grant Gershon. In 2010, Ms. Mathis-Clark made her debut with Lyric Opera of Los Angeles performing the role of Ada in the first staged performance of Wagner's Die Feen. She performed with CSU-San Bernardino Symphonic Band as the Soprano Soloist in Gershwin's Catfish Row. Ms. Mathis-Clark made her debut with Windsong Southland Chorale in 2009 performing the role of Little Buttercup in Gilbert & Sullivan's HMS Pinafore. Ms. Mathis-Clark made her solo debut with LAMC singing the soprano solos in Handel's Messiah in December 2008 at Walt Disney Concert Hall in downtown Los Angeles. Margaurite made her second appearance with the Ontario/Chaffey Show Band under the direction of Jack Mercer in November 2007. A Salute to Veterans; Music: The Fabric of America was televised locally in Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties throughout the month of November. Ms. Mathis-Clark has participated in numerous vocal competitions including the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions where she was a Grand Finalist. She was also the 1st Place Winner of the First Annual Charles A. Lynam Vocal Competition, held in conjunction with Greensboro Symphony of North Carolina. She made her debut with the Greensboro Symphony conducted, by Dmitry Sitkovetsky, in September 2006. Ms. Mathis-Clark has appeared with acclaimed pianist, Buddy Bray, singing Cabaret Songs by William Bolcom. Ms. Mathis-Clark continues to pursue her singing career, domestically and internationally, as she resides in California. |
