Classical Musicians for Safeplace

Patricia O'Keefe is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of North Texas in the studio of mezzo-soprano Jennifer Lane (Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera). Miss O'Keefe holds the Master of Music in Voice Performance degree from the University of Texas at Austin where she studied with Russian bass Nikita Storojev (Bolshoi Opera, La Scala) and coached regularly with tenor William Lewis (Metropolitan Opera, La Scala). Her voice has been described by the internationally renowned mezzo-soprano Mignon Dunn as possessing an "unusually rich, dark timbre." Miss O'Keefe was privileged to prepare the role of Suor Angelica with the great Polish soprano Teresa Zylis-Gara who performed the role to great acclaim.

Recent performances include Lucia in Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor, Donna Anna in Mozart's Don Giovanni and the title role in Händel's Alcina with UNT Opera as well as concert appearances throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth Area as Die Königin der Nacht (Die Zauberflöte), La Contessa (Le Nozze di Figaro), Leonore (Fidelio), Beth March (Little Women), Die Marschallin (Der Rosenkavalier) and the rarely performed Four Sacred Songs by Antonín Dvorák for voice and organ. Please see the Schedule page for details about upcoming events!
